David is the founder and President of D. Lawton Associates,
where he focuses on the successful implementation of technology in business. Since 1986,
he has been responsible for the automation of accounting, document processing, networking,
financial analysis, project management and database systems for more than 160 firms, using
all major desktop platforms. David favors systems architectures that are data-driven, modular
and flexible resulting in applications with a very long useful life.
He designed and created the Application Management Environment, a software tool and associated
methodology for the rapid development of custom database applications.
David Kahn holds an S.B. in Computer Science from M.I.T., and an S.M in Management from the M.I.T.
Sloan School. He has been on the faculty in the M.B.A. program at the University of Massachusetts,
and regularly speaks on issues relating to the management of technology. He has been published in
Byte and Information Center magazines, and has written a book on Microsoft Windows. |
